Job Description:

The Sr Specialist, Supplier Growth and Strategy is responsible for supporting and coordinating the growth opportunities with True Value strategic supplier accounts across multiple brands and categories through marketing solutions that drive value for our retailers. This role is focused on supporting large vendor relationships, cost maintenance and negotiations for Marketing growth programs with True Value’s supplier community. Extensive cross functional work with Merchandising and Sales teams to drive profitability for the business. Manages deliverables and timelines.


Responsibilities: (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).


1.        Supports the strategy and execution for strategic supplier growth programs (SSGP) increasing profitability and value in wholesale, retail and private label marketing efforts designed to drive sales and EBITDA.


2.        Assists senior management in critical supplier relationships and supports large scale negotiations for supplier allowances and engagements.


3.        Works closely with Brand, Communication, Creative, and Channel Development Marketing teams to ensure alignment of strategies, direction, and execution objectives.


4.        Oversees activities across large scale, complex marketing projects with multiple dependencies, restrictive timelines, and risk. 


5.        Supports and encourages cross functional collaboration with Merchandising and Sales team leaders.


6.        Drives continuous and lean process improvement amongst peers and Marketing team.


7.        Challenges the status quo to drive change and modernize new ways of thinking in Marketing and Merchandising.


8.        Monitors the marketplace, competitive landscape, industry trends, and third-party data sources to constantly identify new and innovative design and channel opportunities as well as potential threats.


Education & Experience:


·         Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.


·         5-7 years of experience, preferably in Marketing, Merchandising, or similar industry.


·         Proficient knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.


·         Knowledge of Monday.com or equivalent project management tool preferred.


·         Excellent organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail.


·         Strong communications skills: verbal, written and presentation.
