The Digital Modernization Office - C onsultant role is a unique opportunity to make an end-to-end impact across Northern Trust. The role is responsible for supporting the enterprise-wide portfolio shaping process that defines strategic priorities for NTs digital modernization program, In addition to supporting or leading strategic 'special projects' in conjunction with senior leadership and cross functional DMO core team
Responsibilities:
Support or lead workstream execution of "special projects" as defined, assigned, and prioritized by Head of DMO in conjunction with core DMO team and cross functional BU and technology leaders
Support problem-solving for the business as it seeks to identify new initiatives and generate greater impact, faster
Support program planning including business case development in conjunction with Impact zone owners across prioritized digital modernization initiatives as required
Continuously monitor health of prioritized Impact Zone portfolio for roadblocks, risks and dependencies and escalate to DMO leadership.
Perform analysis to identify issue root cause, define actions needed to remediate and follow up to ensure "course correction" in conjunction with DMO team
Operationally support DMO meetings and workshops (e.g., take / send / and close-loop on meeting actions, produce high quality presentation materials)
Support the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) processes by producing key documentation and deliverables (e.g., meeting materials, meeting minutes, updating data in DMO tools)
Prepare high quality materials and talking points for management group updates, internal communications, high-level readout reports, etc..
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track OKRs and enable continuous improvement of DMO processes and tools including support of cross-functional DMO activities as required
Required skills:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Comfortable with ambiguity, with a change agent challenger mentality
Adept at problem solving, with sound business judgment and strong analytical skills
Experience developing financial models
Ability to excel in a cross functional environment working with senior executives
Proactive process management skills, highly organized with an eye for detail
Background in Asset Servicing, Wealth Mgmt., Asset Mgmt. preferred technology background a plus
Experience with large complex enterprise-wide change initiatives
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint), Power BI, PPM, Azure boards or similar tools a plus
Recommended:
Prior experience in strategy or management consulting
Program management experience
Background in data management, data visualization, and dashboard development
Qualifications:
1 - 3 years of relevant experience
Bachelors' degree with Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience in a relevant field (business, economics, statistics)
