    ABOUT THIS ROLE:



    Supervises activities related to quality control including staffing, scheduling, coordinating, and administering the company’s total quality management program.


     



    STATEMENT OF WORK:




    • Manage the Quality Department workflow, including prioritization of all inspection activities and the allocation of department resources to maximize output and efficiency.

    • Work closely with Production Supervisor to identify, prioritize, and coordinate the effective flow of quality inspection activities related to manufacturing.

    • Provide direction for inspectors related to router questions/problems.

    • Perform final and outgoing inspections as defined by procedures, control plans, work instructions, job and customer order paperwork, drawings, etc. to ensure the product acceptability prior to shipment to the customer.

    • Document non-conformances and to assist in disposition and determination of causes.

    • Record statistical data as defined by routing instructions and customer requirements.

    • Completion of all associated paperwork, records and certifications.

    • Interact with customers, suppliers, and other departments in a professional manner in addressing product quality and service issues.

    • Develop and maintain cross-trained staff for movement throughout the Quality Department.

    • Perform review and analysis of data to determine need for initiation of Corrective Action.

    • Provide other departments with information and assistance to support them in accomplishing their objectives.

    • Perform first article inspections as defined by customer requirements as needed.

    • Perform first piece and in-process inspections in compliance with instructions and customer requirements as needed.

    • Perform receiving inspections, including reviewing supporting documentation, to verify that incoming parts and materials meet requirements and are suitable for use.

    • Contribute to and participate in improvement activities within the department and the company

    • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Sealing Devices Quality system.

    • Follow all company policies, procedures, and work instructions in the completion of daily activities with minimal input and supervision to ensure successful accomplishment of company objectives.



    WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:



    Qualifications and Experience



    • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

    • Associate degree (two-year college or technical school) or Work Equivalent, Field of Study: Industrial Technology or Quality related field.

    • Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) preferred. Field of Study:Industrial Technology or Quality related field



    • Preferred Qualifications include GD&T Basic Statistical Techniques, basic CMM usage

    • 2 plus years of experience in mechanical inspection, blueprint reading, basic computer literacy

    • ASQ CQT preferred.
