WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As our Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for a combination of traditional accounts payable processing and general ledger accounting. Every day, you can picture yourself performing the following duties:


  • Assisting with daily, weekly and monthly accounting functions.

  • Posting manual journal entries.

  • Posting large volumes of data related to our factory suppliers.

  • Performing monthly reconciliation of large volume ledger accounts to factory vendor statements.

  • Researching vendor statement items not yet accounted for in the business system.

  • Processing payments to large vendors utilizing vendor portals and internal business system programs.

  • Utilizing factory vendor websites to obtain data and research items.

  • Adapting to factory vendor statements and web-based application changes.

To thrive in this role, you should be self-motivated, enjoy working in a team environment, have a detail-oriented mindset, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

WHAT YOU NEED:


  • Associates degree in accounting or three to five years of relevant work experience preferred.

  • Strong 10-key by touch data entry skills.

  • Strong understanding of the accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles.

  • Experience with account reconciliation.

  • Intermediate Excel skills, and the ability to learn new computer systems and business partner website applications.

  • Experience in the accounting department of an entity with multiple companies is beneficial but not required

Starting Compensation: $22-25/hr (Depending on Experience)
