We are seeking a full-time Engineering Technician Intern in our Tulsa, OK location. In this role, you will be responsible for the layout, build, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying developmental and production electronic circuits, equipment, and systems.
Essential Functions
Assist Design Engineers in development of new circuits by performing electrical circuit prototyping, breadboard construction, and troubleshooting
Work with various computer systems and programs to enter schematics, design circuit boards, enter bills of materials, and perform cost analysis of the products
Discuss layout, assembly procedures and problems with Mechanical Engineers and draw sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units
Recommend changes in circuitry or assembly methods to simplify assembly and maintenance
Set up standard test apparatus or devise test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of designs
Analyze and interpret test data
Test operating unit to identify defects, measure performance, determine need for adjustment, verify specified operation and compliance to applicable regulations and Quality Assurance (QA) guidelines
Adjust, calibrate, align, modify circuitry and components and record effects on unit performance
Write technical reports, develop charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate a system's operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations
Check functionality of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions
Maintain project files and notebooks in an organized manner and maintain lab equipment and supplies needed for product development
Basic Qualifications
Completed coursework in Electronics Engineering Technology or Computer Engineering Technology from a technical/vocational institution or a four year college or university OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
Desired Qualifications
Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)
