The University of Oklahoma Athletics Department is looking for candidates that have a passion for both collegiate athletics and creative media production. The Associate Director of Video Content is a highly skilled video producer that is responsible for creating content that drives fan affinity, promotes the Oklahoma brand and generates engagement through digital media. Reporting directly to the Director of Video Content, the Associate Director of Video Content will serve as the primary point of contact for football as well as assisting all sports programs with content across multiple platforms as needed. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of cinematography, editing and post-production skill. A heavy emphasis will be placed on the candidate’s demo reel.
Essential Functions:
The creative content team works closely with assigned sports to produce video content across multiple forward-facing platforms including, but not limited to, social media, big screen, and television. In addition to producing video content, the team of creators produce select live productions and studio shows that air on SoonerVision on ESPN+ in conjunction with ESPN guidelines.
In addition, the Associate Director of Video Content serves a critical role in supervising and managing students within the Production Assistant (student) program. The expectation will be to lead and mentor students in their field, providing training opportunity and hands-on experience for the students.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Marketing, Journalism or related field, AND
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 72 months of related experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
