Primary Functions : The Registered Nurse is a clinically competent practitioner of pediatric, family centered nursing care. The nurse provides safe nursing care to the pediatric primary care patients with minimal guidance and bases practice on identified principles and standards of care. The RN is responsible for daily patient care, assessment and treatment in collaboration with the clinical medical provider. The RN must be competent in caring for patients with moderate to complex heath issues. Assists nurse manager or Office manager with administrative issues which affect the clinical practices within the office as well as comply with the administrative policies and clinical protocols.

Essential Functions:
Focuses on the care of patients with chronic allergic conditions. These conditions include asthma, allergic rhinitis, food allergies, urticaria, and atopic dermatitis.
Duties include providing direct patient care and health education.
Promote health maintenance, encourage compliance with recommended treatment plans.
Administer, interpret, and record skin testing.
Instruct patients on allergen avoidance, proper allergy and asthma medication administration.
Recognize and handle emergency anaphylactic protocol.
Conduct progressive graded food, drug, and venom challenges as directed by the physician.
Administers vaccines, immunotherapy, Xolair, and medications as directed by the physician.
Additional Requirements:
BSN required
Must have or be eligible for DE nursing license
Pediatric Office Nurse experience required
Phone Triage experience preferred
BLS Certification with the American Heart Association required
Monday through Friday 830AM-5PM. Potential to switch to four 10 hr shifts in the future. PA and DE license required. NJ license may be needed in the future for phone triage.
