Job summary:

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Quality Control Inspector located in Manchester, CT to work the Night Shift from 7 PM – 7 AM on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and every other Wednesday plus a 7% shift differential.

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Control Inspector role involves…

What a typical day looks like:


  • Performs visual inspection of electronic card and sub-assemblies, and systems or units to ensure that all product meets the established specifications for reliability and workmanship.

  • Utilizes gages, templates, microscopes and other manufacturing aids to ensure that all product meets the established specifications for reliability and workmanship.

  • Ensures that all required process operations have been performed on the product that is being inspected.

  • Enters all quality data into the appropriate electronic or manual systems.

  • Notifies the appropriate personnel if unusual product defects are identified or if process yields fall below acceptable levels.

  • Provides timely feedback to manufacturing if non-conforming product is identified.

  • Accurately completes all administrative activities associated with quality inspection.

  • Performs process audits and assists manufacturing with the interpretation of the quality and workmanship standards.

  • Assists with the disposition of all non-conforming materials/product.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:


  • Demonstrates basic functional process knowledge and participates in process.

  • Typically requires an understanding of inspection techniques.

  • Use of the following tools are preferred but not required: Electronic Assembly: color code, component, schematics, touch-up, commercial soldering, mechanical assembly, surface mount assembly, point to point wiring; Inspection: bare board, loaded, components, cable/harness, microscope, measuring tools; Mechanical & Electrical Tools: measuring tools; Office Skills: data entry, spreadsheet, manufacturing systems software.

  • Able to read and comprehend moderately complex instructions.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, leads and supervisors of the organization.

  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

  • Ability to perform these operations using weight measurement and distance.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
