PENDING CONTRACT AWARD

01410 SUPPLY TECHNICIAN


This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require:


(a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines;

(b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and

(c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.

 

Performs duties as Hazardous Materials Removal Workers (47-4041)

Identify, remove, pack, transport, or dispose of hazardous materials incl. asbestos, lead-based paint, waste oil, fuel, transmission fluid, radioactive materials, or contaminated soil. Specialized training and certification in hazardous materials handling or a confined entry permit are generally required. May operate earth-moving equipment or trucks.

 

 

TASK REQUIREMENTS:


  • Inputs data regarding work order information, status changes, supply updates and other pertinent information utilizing NALCOMIS/OOMA

  • Prepares special reports for maintenance updates as required

  • Complies material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies, tracks production

  • Shall have overall responsibility for HAZMAT program management. This person shall possess knowledge of principles, standards, and techniques of HAZMAT management. This person must have familiarity and knowledge of applicable Federal, DOD, State, and Local regulations pertaining to the protection of the environment

  • Other duties as assigned

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Recent full-time experience in Integrated Logistic Support and System Life Cycle Support areas of DOD application. This shall include experience in U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps aviation supply support, technical logistical data, packaging, handling, storage, and transportation.

  • Must be able to pick up a minimum of 50 lbs individually from the ground, vehicle or aircraft

  • High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate Advance Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)

  • This person shall possess knowledge of principles, standards, and techniques of HAZMAT management.

  • This person must have familiarity and knowledge of applicable Federal, DOD, State, and Local regulations pertaining to the protection of the environment

  • At least two (2) years of practical experience within the last four (4) years in the management, administration, or operation of a hazardous materials/waste program. The experience shall include receiving, storage, distribution, handling, and disposal of all types of material that may be utilized at the Contractor’s job site. At least one (1) of the two (2) years of experience shall include planning, organizing, directing, operating, and evaluating a HAZMAT program for an entire organization.

  • High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate

 

Compensation

$35.73/hour

Other Compensation

Employees will receive a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.41 for every hour worked up to 40 hours per week.

Employees are offered medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in KAI’s 401k plan.  Employees have a minimum of eleven paid holidays.  Employees accumulate 1 hour of Paid Sick Leave for Federal Contractors for every 30 hours worked up to 56 hours per year. After completing one year of service, employees will have two weeks paid vacation.

Employment is contingent on (a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and (d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
