We are currently seeking a collaborative teammate to join the Marketing and Communications team as a Corporate Writer.  In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and creation of strategic marketing/communication campaigns and materials to enhance the company’s image.

What you will do:


  • Assist in research, planning, implementation and evaluation of the corporate website, intranet, and social media sites.

  • Research, write and edit copy for marketing/communication pieces.

  • Write internal and external stories for FCCI publications, including online newsletters and emails.

  • Assist with managing the content, flow and accessibility of information through liaisons with appropriate content

The selected candidate will work from our corporate office in Sarasota, FL.  This is an in-office role with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office).

Experience


Required


  • * Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or related field. Note: Relevant, progressively responsible work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.

  • * Minimum of two years of professional writing experience preferably in corporate communications.

  • * Prior insurance experience preferred.

  • * Solid working knowledge of the English language, grammar, journalism and AP reporting techniques.

  • * Solid working knowledge of marketing/advertising and public relation principles.

  • * Solid working knowledge of the organization and its public image philosophy.

  • * Solid working technical knowledge of web content, layouts and related software.

  • * Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • * Ability to analyze, define and solve problems; the use of good judgment and decision-making.
