Amerisure is currently recruiting for a Innovation Solution Architect that can do a 2-day hybrid approach onsite in our Farmington Hills office. The ideal candidate will also possess the following skill set. 

Summary Statement

Explores industry for technology developments that are relevant for Amerisure’s business; identifies innovation opportunities and follows through to design and develop the ideas in collaboration with business partners and external organizations.  Applies the engineering design process to solutioning, including research, requirements, ideation, and design.  Provides and/or facilitates the planning, analysis, design, development, integration and implementation of software applications.

Essential Tasks/Major Duties

• Analyzes industry technology developments and create solutions


• Develop, test, debug, document and deploy software according to standards and best practices. 


• Provides consultation on Amerisure Technology strategic planning efforts, gathers high-level business requirements and defines scope during initial discovery by facilitating large group/cross-functional sessions with partners.


• Analyze and recommend specific tools or techniques to implement application solutions.


• Works with vendors to Pilot or Prove Concepts in order to understand if vendor products will meet business and/or Technology requirements.


• Executes initiatives that result in recommendations to change business processes through the application of technologies and more efficient use of resources


• Develop a working knowledge of multiple business functions and initiatives to identify where conflicts/synergies exist between technologies and business functions.


• Prepare and present reports for management regarding new concepts, architectures, technologies, workflows, solutions and processes


• Provides of Technology innovation efforts in partnership with other Amerisure teams engaged in innovation-related activities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field. Or equivalent experience.


• 10 years of experience designing technical solutions with 4 years of software engineering experience and knowledge of multiple software development platforms, tools, and database management systems, such as; Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Microsoft .NET, C#, Java, JavaScript, Node.js, PowerShell, SQL Server, and Oracle DBMS.


• Demonstrated ability to architect and engineer complex cross domain technical solutions with strong capability, performance, stability, and capacity.


• Ability to thrive in a team environment.


• Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.


• Demonstrated application and/or infrastructure systems development and implementations experience.


• Experienced in Agile practices a methodologies SDLC.


• Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department, across the organization and with external customers.


• Excellent organizational skills and ability to function in a fast paced, highly visible, and changing environment.


• Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.
