Production Assistant (Roasting) at Mars, Incorporated in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Mars Wrigley is looking for a Production Assistant in our Elizabethtown, PA Site!

Shift:

Training for this position will be a Monday- Friday day shift schedule. After training is compete, this position followsa rotating 8-hour work schedule. It will require the abilityto work 1st (6:30 AM -3:00 PM), 2nd (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) and 3rd (10:30 PM - 7:00 AM) shift.

Working as a member of a shift team in the roasting area, the primary role of a production assistant is to demonstrate ownership and responsibility for a set of machines, pieces of equipment and/ or processes within their working area. This includes carrying out the routine operational tasks required to achieve area targets e.g. starting-up, shutting-down, monitoring, cleaning, and carrying out basic changeovers, minor repairs, routine checks and inspections, and the use of basic ancillary equipment and computer programs.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED or above


• Fluent English verbal and written skills


• Mechanical aptitude


• Must be willing and able to workvarying/rotating shifts including weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 55lbs.


• Ability to work in a high temperature dusty environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the FMCG / Factory Operations industry


• Mechanical training or experience in fault-finding

• Accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, or pieces of equipment.


• Escalate issues as appropriate, give full and accurate verbal and written handover


• Repair mechanical breakdowns using trained knowledge and experience.
