Job Description:

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Barista will greet customers, answer their questions, take orders and prepare and serve food and drinks. You will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and dining area, update displays. Maintain your knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation.

SHIFT DETAILS: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm

PAY DETAILS: $21.00hr

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Include the following key areas and duties, which may be modified or increased as necessary:

• Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments.
• Preparing foods, brewing coffee/tea and serving items to customers.
• Packaging food and beverages for sale.
• Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, emptying trash, and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality.
• Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter.
• Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls
• Modeling CCS culture and values
• Adhering to all policies and procedures
• Deliver quality customer service
• All other duties as defined by your supervisor

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

This is an entry level job, GED preferred but not required. Previous work experience preferred.

• Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
