Strategic Marketing Senior Advisor, B2B Healthcare Solutions - Work at Home at Cigna in St. Louis, Missouri

JOB SUMMARY

The solutions marketing team is responsible for marketing strategy and content development to drive adoption of innovative clinical and supply chain solutions that reduce health care costs and improve outcomes for patients.

Objective

Lead business-to-business marketing strategy development in collaboration with Product, Sales Enablement, and Solutions and Segment Marketing teams to drive adoption of end-to-end pharmacy-based products and solutions. Translate complex and diverse subject matter for solutions into compelling ideas and narratives that meet our clients' needs. Plan comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns, through strategic positioning, market messaging, client-facing sales enablement tools and other B2B (and occasionally B2B2C) marketing communications.

Responsibilities


  • Develop a strong understanding of buyers' unique challenges and opportunities and position offerings to address and solve key healthcare challenges.

  • Build business-to-business marketing strategies and campaigns to drive adoption of solutions and increase understanding of differentiators.

  • Translate complex and diverse subject matters into compelling ideas and messages that address client needs.

  • Plan and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns, through strategic positioning, market messaging, client-facing sales enablement tools and other B2B marketing communications.

  • Mobilize and direct expertise across marketing capability centers and orchestrate end-to-end marketing plans to drive growth, adoption, and retention across all stages of lifecycle, across all pertinent audiences and channels.

  • Build effective launch plans and strong value proposition articulation and tools ( show don't tell ) to enable sales to be successful at driving solution upsells, and identifying relevant connections across Evernorth capabilities.

  • Cross functional/matrix management with strong ability to influence others and create accountability to achieve business goals and marketing objectives.

  • Collaborate with peers to manage department/team priorities and work flow to support collective business needs.

Scope (e.g., Specific metrics this role will be responsible for):


  • Responsible for developing marketing strategy, while executing marketing plans, campaigns and materials to meet business goals across relevant segments.

  • Works collaboratively with internal client and Marketing groups, PR, Centers of Excellence, internal Creative Services, and agency partners.

  • Success will be measured by effectiveness of marketing initiatives in helping to meet margin targets.

Ideal candidates will offer:


  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum 7-10+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or marketing or Master's degree with a minimum 5-8+ years of experience in communications or marketing

  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams; strong team management skills

  • Strong Modern Marketer: ability to understand and grasp marketing strategy and approach, leverage data and insights to inform strategy and recommended approach, link business need to action, understand how to leverage digital tactics/channels to execute marketing strategy.

  • Health care industry experience strongly preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively in dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment across multiple functions and in support of diverse buyers and geographies.

  • Critical thinker and creative problem solver, who exercises good judgment in resolving difficult situations, prioritizes and can balance needs with enterprise objectives.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment, and juggle multiple, sometimes competing, priorities and requirements.

  • Experience executing strategy within timeline, budget and quality standards.

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.

  • Travel required occasionally (less than 10%).

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 106,400 - 177,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
