CMM / OMM Programmer
SUMMARY
Responsible for the development of the programs for the machines of the metrology laboratory, including but not limited to the CMM & OMM machines
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Program and operate CMM / OMM machines
- Determination of fixturing requirements
- Assist in Failure analysis for dimensional issues found in production or incoming inspection.
- Conduct final product and incoming supplier measurements to ensure meeting specifications
COMMUNICATION:
- To be able to communicate status of the projects internally and with customer
- To work directly with the customer engineers to be able to share technical information related to the programming of machines, critical to quality specifications, special instructions, etc.
SKILLS NEEDED:
- Know and understand the overall metrology process.
- Knowledge & experience of PC-DMIS
- The understanding and interpretation of assembly and mechanical drawings.
- The understanding or geometric restrictions and GDT system (Geometry, Dimensions and Tolerances)
- The understanding of MSA system ( Measurement System and Analysis)
- The use of manual tools (Caliper, Gage, HG, Micrometer, Pin gage, Depth Gage)
TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform duties, which involve conventional engineering practices that may include a variety of complex duties from METROLOGY machines.
- Through subordinate supervisors or professional staff, identify and evaluate metrology procedures and equipment required to perform quality checks.
- Compile and document data necessary to analyze performance and make recommendations for changes in the metrology process.
- Assist customer, setup training program for new product related to metrology procedures.
- Provide training and assist metrology technicians.
- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Five to ten years experience in metrology environment
The pay range for this role is $65,500 - $95,632. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.As part of the total rewards package, this position is eligible for a short-term incentive based on performance.
