This growing community hospital in Orange County is actively interviewing for a Nursing Manager Labor and Delivery to take oversight of this busy high-risk Birthing department. You’ll join a strong and talented leadership team, and you’ll lead a dedicated staff of Labor & Delivery RNs and caregivers in this technologically advanced hospital.

The Nursing Manager of Labor and Delivery will play an integral role in continuing and improving the hospital’s mission of compassionate care.


Reporting to the Administrative Director of Obstetrics, Women’s, and Children’s Services, the Labor & Delivery Nursing Manager will serve as clinical and administrative lead for a dedicated team. Reporting to this Manager is and L&D Asst. Nurse Manager and two RNC-OB Charge Nurses who will support policy development, quality improvement, and execution of unit directives. Furthermore, the Labor and Delivery Manager will serve as a mentor and champion for OBGYN and RNC-OB Registered Nurses, Postpartum Nurses, Midwives, and support staff.


The Labor and Delivery Nursing Manager will oversee an amazing and family oriented department, which offers a wide array of services to the community. Seeing over 2000 births annually, the Obstetrics / Women’s Services department offers 20 LDRP rooms, where mothers and babies get to experience the calm and stability of their own space. Additionally, this department has 3 Labor Triage Rooms, two dedicated Women's Services Operating Rooms, and 12 Postpartum Rooms. 


The Nursing Manager will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining clinical and operational excellence for not only the Women’s Services department, but also the hospital. Clinically, the Labor Delivery Nursing Manager will serve the staff and unit as a source of expertise, mentorship, and performance improvement. From an administration standpoint, you’ll develop and maintain the departmental budget, and you’ll serve as the expert on compliance and regulatory readiness for these multiple units.
