The Account Specialist is responsible for providing excellent order to invoice customer satisfaction to our OEM and Aftermarket customer base. It is the Account Specialist responsibility to support sales, production, quality, invoicing, accounts receivable, and shipping. This is a process driven role and demands timely and accurate communication with both internal departments and external customers.
Key responsibilities for this position require close attention to detail to ensure our customers receive orders accurately and on time.
Primary point of contact for assigned accounts, supporting the applicable Sales Director; this includes receipt and confirmation of customer purchase orders which involves researching material availability, price confirmation, shipping method, and order entry into our ERP system.
Process quotes by reviewing quote history, order history, and cost to price strategically with support from Sales and Customer Service Director.
Coordinate with Master Schedulers and Planners to review order status, coordinate changes and confirm delivery dates to achieve on time deliveries and proactively communicate with customer when issues may arise.
Receive, acknowledge and expedite customer concerns professionally, handle discrepancies and coordinate with the Quality Department on all quality issues and generate RMA’s when necessary.
Works closely with the Credit Department on resolution of any invoice or payment discrepancy.
Maintains all records pertaining to orders and customer related communications electronically.
Builds sustainable relationships with customers through supportive and interactive communication.
Follow all company Safety and Standard Operating Procedures.
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
5+ years or manufacturing related customer service experience.
Prior experience with SAP preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and customers.
