Role Summary
The ESG Program Manager is responsible the delivery of all Environmental, Social, and Governance projects and implementing standards within all elements of the organization on behalf of the Corporate Real Estate and Workplace Services (CREWS) team. They will partner with Corporate ESG team, legal, vendors and contractors, operations, and procurement team in leading the execution and management of all sustainability programs. Creates a partnership with business owners to define, plan, and execute on deliverables throughout the program life cycle to meet agreed acceptance criteria. This position leads programs of high complexity and may lead multiple programs concurrently in accordance with industry best practices. Programs managed in this role have enterprise-level impacts involving multiple delivery partners and business areas. Identifies process gaps and inefficiencies; recommends improvement plans, influencing the approval/adoption by senior management
Responsibilities:
Establish long-term ESG goals and create a clear, prioritized activity roadmap that successfully delivers the firm’s goals with respect to environmental sustainability, reduction of pollution, human rights impacts, and governance best practices.
Responsible for direct oversight of all ESG related project coordination and execution in collaboration with strategic partners.
Proactively manages the change request process for program level scope, schedule and budget changes throughout the program life cycle.
Accountable for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and mandates which includes all internal and external audit requirements and reporting
Accountable for monitoring and effectively representing program and local regulation changes, as well as works with the Corporate ESG team to develop mitigation strategies for any risks and dependencies across the firm
Define, develop, and deliver engagements and metrics that demonstrate our ESG expertise and accelerate the growth
Oversee the execution, implementation, and daily operation of the Net Zero Carbons plan for the organization
Oversee and create content for internal and external reporting: e.g., sustainability reports, credit risk analysis, mandatory disclosures, and other materials
Identify and manage best in class external relationships that will amplify ESG impact for T. Rowe Price
Travel may be required 25% - 50%
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
8+ years of total relevant work experience
Preferred Certifications:
LEED Professionals
LEED Green Associate and LEED Accredited Professional or LEED (GA & AP),
BREEAM Advisory Professionals (APs),
Energy Star (for Professional Engineers and Registered Architects)
WELL and FITWEL
Work Flexibility
This role will require the incumbent to be onsite 5 days a week.
