Summary:


Performs technical laboratory work in the laboratory of Dr. Pawel Kalinski.




Qualifications:


Required Education and Experience


1. Bachelor's degree in a science-related field; or
2. Associate's degree in a science-related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time laboratory experience; or
3. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time laboratory experience.


NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.



Preferred Qualifications



The preferred candidate should have hands on experience working in a laboratory environment outside of a course requirement; experience with cell culture and knowledge of how to maintain a sterile environment. The preferred candidate should have basic knowledge of immunology or cancer biology Scientific training/education that demonstrates an ability to learn immunological assays including ELISA, PCR, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry; willingness to work with in vivo mouse models and obtain training in mouse handling and husbandry; demonstrated organizational and note taking skills in a prior professional or educational setting. In addition, the preferred candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present data to a scientific audience in regularly scheduled small/large group meetings; flexibility to occasionally working outside of established working hours.
