Job Summary

Applies standard engineering techniques to design, develop, and maintain instrumentation or controls systems.

Job Duties

• Automate manufacturing or similar processes through the use of instrumentation or controls systems

• Develop new and modify existing applications, interfaces, or embedded controls

• Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other automation problems on the production floor

• Update program backups for automation

• Preventive maintenance activities

• Participate in set-up and commissioning of new facilities or upgrading of existing facilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions and make recommendations that will improve efficiency or quality of operations

• Document specifications and operating procedures

• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately

• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)

• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures

• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

• Perform work independently

• Considered a high-level specialist who regularly interacts and works with senior management

• Use advanced techniques, theories and processes to complete work

• Typically require a bachelor's degree and 4 or more years of experience. PLC, Robot, HMI, vison systems
