What you will be doing:
Oversee and supervise all massage therapists and day to day operations
Assist in the administration and implementation of staff training in all aspects of the Spa's operations
Manage scheduling of all therapists, documentation, leave and shift coverage
Maintain attendance and performance log for all therapists and coordinate with Spa Manager/Director on addressing performance or attendance concerns
Perform all 25, 50, 80, and 110-minute massages, body, and face treatments.
Ensure all massage therapists have the product and equipment needed to perform their job duties successfully
Report dysfunctional equipment to Spa Manager
Monitor and submit work orders for the maintenance of the facility
Keep work area clean and neat at all times
Courteously interact and answer all facility-related questions and ensure guest comfort at all times
Troubleshoot all guest and colleague complaints/concerns and handle accordingly
Be available to perform practical tests on therapist candidates
Maintain current professional licenses
Maintain knowledge of current trends in massage and body work industries and present concepts and ideas as they may be relevant to Fairmont Spas
Work with Spa Manager in the formulation of plans for projects and with the Spa Director to implement seasonal or new treatments
Prepare and update service operations manuals including treatment protocols
Adhere, promote, and reinforce all company standards and protocols
Be a positive promoter of all training and events in the hotel
All other assigned tasks
Your experience and skills include:
Hawaii Massage Therapy License
Minimum of 1 year experience in Resort Spa
Communicate thoughts, actions, and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills
Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
Service focused personality
Health & safety oriented
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining U.S. work authorization.
