Job Summary


 



  • Expectations of the position


As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will operate mobile equipment such as lift trucks, overhead cranes, track mobiles/switch engine, and/or yard vehicles in order to move materials and products between workstations and/or receiving and storage locations.

  • Standard Hours


6:00 am to 2:30 pm – May change based on production needs


 


Qualifications and Skills



  • Hard skills

    • Preferred Experience: Up to 1 Year

    • Certifications: Applicable Equipment Certifications from Arcosa

    • Preferred Technical Skills: Ability to operate forklift, overhead crane, scissor lift and track mobile



  • Education: High School Diploma or GED

Duties and Responsibilities



  • Core Responsibilities

    • Operate lift truck to move material

    • Spot for mobile crane

    • Operate scissor lift

    • Operate track mobile

    • Operate mobile crane for complex loading of finished product.

    • Operate 80 ton for plate steel and moving sections (Outside: 100%)

    • Tarp sections

    • Train and assure safety of all team members

    • Maintain attendance within acceptable standards



  • Safety Activities

    • Be aware of and observe all safety practices.

    • Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.

    • Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
