Sales Analyst - Alternate Sites at Medline Industries, Inc. in LIBERTYVILLE, Illinois

Job Description:

Responsible for day-to-day activities of certain customer types which includes identifying areas of opportunity to simplify or enhance the overall customer experience and operational efficiency. Analyze business results to support the sales organization as it relates to responsibilities and additional assigned projects/tasks. Plan and prepare business, financial and data analysis and reports. In addition to presenting findings and recommendations to management team, continuously improve processes.

• Ability to translate analytical findings into actionable customer strategies, which will have a measurable impact on the business.


• Develop moderately complex reports and queries for sales management and customers. Measure the trends, efficiencies and effectiveness of sales.


• Provide sales team with strategic direction, guidance and support, while ensuring accountability for meeting or exceeding operational objectives and priorities.


• Support the continuous improvement of the department, lead and contribute to initiatives that deliver an excellent customer experience and improve portfolio profitability.


• Strong ability to multi-task and work independently.


• Develop key metrics and create processes to track, analyze, communicate, and act upon key operational metrics.


• Aids in researching, understanding, and resolving any system discrepancy and partners with sales leaders, IS, and other system support functions to prevent further issues


• Makes recommendations to adjust or change controls to align to business needs and changes.

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  
  

Relevant Work Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in sales analysis or related area.

• Ability to successfully apply standard financial, accounting and business problem-solving skills to business problems with multiple variables.
  
  


• Advanced level skill in Microsoft Access (for example: modifying default field properties, creating a sub form, adding a control button, modifying query criteria and query totals, using conditional formatting and/or viewing data relationships).
  
  


• Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).
  
  


• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, volume.
