Summary
Packaging Engineering is a new discipline at AmerCareRoyal. We have identified this as a high-impact opportunity that enables us to scale at a competitive cost.
Primary Function
Support the development of pallet pattern standards and rules across multiple warehouses Develop pallet pattern specifications in TOPS Identify opportunities with current pallet specs (or lack thereof) and develop solutions Monetize the benefits of increasing the amount of product that we can store on a wooden pallet.
Secondary Function
Support new product innovation process and/or marketing lead efforts Research and evaluate products, substrates, suppliers, etc. Clearly and concisely communicate a summary of learnings, provide recommendation, etc. Evaluate competitive landscape and identify gaps in product offerings, new product opportunities, etc.
What you can expect:
In the Package Engineering intern position, you will contribute to tasks focused on specific project initiatives, such as package development, results evaluation, developing pallet patterns and coordinating with cross functional teams Utilize critical thinking skills to plan and coordinate individual activities that contribute to project results Hands-on development Utilize the TOPS program to create pallet patten specifications for new and existing products visuals of how cases are oriented on pallets for storage. Access to our warehouse space and warehouse teams to gather inputs. Development of cross functional working relationships across product teams including logistics, sourcing, and marketing Open lines of communication with category leaders within the organization
What were looking for:
Currently pursuing Packaging Science Degree Highly energetic, creative, and motivated individuals possessing excellent communication and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into strategic and tactical project goals Demonstrated understanding of how to incorporate business needs into technical decisions Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple assignments/tasks Strong communication skills (oral and written) Willingness to travel up to 20% Actual working location will be anchored in either Exton PA or Summerville SC with a hybrid schedule
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates should be completing their junior year of studies Eligible to work in United States without work authorization sponsorship Must pass a drug screen and background investigation
