Program Coordinator

Provide program coordination and support to the Social Ecological Gaming and Simulation (SEGS) lab for work associated with the NOAA funded projects in the Cooperative Institute for Research to Operations in Hydrology (CIROH). Facilitate communication amongst SEGS team members, CIROH research partners, NOAA scientists, and outside stakeholders. Track tasks amongst team members and work towards guiding meeting agendas. Manage database sites and facilitate data and file transfer. Assist efforts to assess how decision support tools and simulations inform individuals' preferences. Examine how specific water hazard intelligence products and risk communication messages influence individual planning and practice behaviors.
Bachelor's degree and three years' relevant experience relevant to include project management and meeting facilitation. Scientific understanding of environmental policy and science issues required. Effective communication skills required. Knowledge of social media platforms and development, computer literacy and report writing required.
Experience with qualitative data analysis, project management tools, working with large federal awards (USDA, NSF, NOAA, NIH) and communicating with stakeholders desirable. Familiarity with compliance requirements and experience with social psychology, behavioral sciences, risk communication or related field desirable.
Contingent on continued funding, Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period
