Material Handler - Inventory at BHF in manitowoc, Wisconsin

Job Description:

Broadwind Heavy Fabrications in Manitowoc, WI has an opening for a Material Handler - Inventory on 1st Shift (Monday-Friday 5am-3pm Hours & Days will vary). The main responsibility of this role will be maintaining and tracking inventory transactions. Will also be responsible for the movement of materials between functions, departments and locations with an emphasis on assisting with our shipping of sections from our remote yard. Level II Team Members must be certified and qualified in the use of certain equipment and movement of some materials both in the building and in the yard.
Daily duties include:
Execute routine cycle counts and annual physical inventoriesMaintain control of purchased and manufactured inventoryEnsure compliance with internal control proceduresPost daily production inventory transactions and adjustments timelyReview work assignments to plan and coordinate.Prioritize workload so production needs are metMove materials in and around the yard, buildings or remote locations.Stack all materials neatly and in the correct location for all areas of facilityPick up debris, garbage and scrap materials throughout facility when applicableManage record-keeping related to movement of materialsPerform daily maintenance and inspection of required equipment referencing the daily personal maintenance sheetPerform start up inspection at the beginning of each shiftVisually inspect, check and fill fluids, and check functionsReports any equipment malfunctions or safety concernsClean equipment used as needed for shift hand- offIdentify damaged and non-compliant materialsLooks for ways to improve processes and apply Lean thinkingAdhere to safety requirements and standardsCross-train and support other material handling roles to which an individual is qualifiedModels BWEN Core ValuesAll other duties as assigned
