Job Description:

Per Diem Registered Nurses must commit to work a minimum of 16 hours, per four (4) week scheduling period in direct patient care. One shift must be an evening, night, weekend or holiday as applicable to operations. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Gastro/Endo – Procedure to:


  • Provide care, including patient triage, procedure preparation, intra-procedure care, and post-procedure recovery phases.

  • Be an active member of the multidisciplinary team and collaborate in the development, execution, and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care or critical pathway.

Education:

Preferred – Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BSN).

Work Experience:

Minimum – One (1) year of relevant clinical nursing experience. Specific to EP Lab - Previous moderate sedation experience.

Preferred – 


  • Additional years of relevant clinical nursing experience.

  • Prior involvement in clinical procedures in area of specialty, including successful work or involvement in other hospital-wide project work.

  • Experience in an academic medical setting.

  • Specific to Gastro/Endo & Generations - Previous moderate sedation experience

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum – Registration as a professional nurse in the state of Wisconsin. Basic Life Support/CPR certification. ACLS certification or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.

Preferred – Certification in area of specialty.
