Our Global HR team partners with our business leaders to attract, retain, and develop Hilton's most important asset, our Team Members.

What will I be doing?
As an experienced project manager, you bring structure, organization, and strategic clarity to complex, cross-functional learning projects. You are eager to engage with people, resilient, and can juggle multiple priorities. You have a consistent track record of carrying out large-scale changes effectively across an organization. This role will be a key member of the Global Learning Team supporting Hilton's Learning & Development programs serving our diverse audience of Team Members around the world. You will establish learning project plans while managing scope, timeline, budget, tasks, and mitigating risks. You will lead a project team to articulate the goals and objectives of the project/program and establish benchmarks for success. The variety of projects will focus its scope on Customer Promise initiatives.

You will partner with learning consultants and stakeholders from the business and CP workstreams to manage global learning projects across the Enterprise. This position will ensure change is managed with a focus on effective communication, partner support and alignment both to business and learner needs creating best-in-class learner-friendly Team Member learning experiences.

More specifically you will:


  • Gain an understanding of the learning need, scope, and strategic objectives
  • Partner effectively with learning consultant and CP teams to examine the scope of work and identify the build or buy approach to the learning solution; partner with procurement if a request for proposal is necessary and evaluate vendors
  • Establish comprehensive workflow processes, clarify roles and responsibilities, and ensure that plans, dependencies, issues, and risks are aligned with the overall project plan
  • Manage project team as the main point of contact, interfacing daily with fellow members of the Learning/HR team as well as partners in the business, senior leaders, and external vendor partners
  • Analyze and prioritize project activities, deliverables, and budget with realistic timelines
  • Create and maintain templates and project-specific artifacts including project timelines, status reports, progress, and project costs
  • Achieve consensus among diverse and dissenting viewpoints, while effectively translating ideas into prioritized and practical steps
  • Ensure vendor partners adhere to the contract agreed upon in scope of work; address and work to resolve any issues in quality of work or timeline discrepancies
  • Maintain compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements

What are we looking for?
We seek someone with strong personal and organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple time-sensitive assignments simultaneously in a matrixed organization. We believe the success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Experience implementing learning projects across a global workforce
  • Ability to establish and navigate within project constraints -time/quality/cost
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory/instructional design
  • Agility in dealing with ambiguity, change, and shifting priorities
  • Ability to rally people of different subject areas to move in a common direction to achieve shared goals
  • Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Strong communications skills, experience presenting to senior leadership, and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of project management experience
  • Two (2) years of experience in Learning and Development
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Travel up to 10%

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
  • Seven (7) years of professional experience
  • PMP certification
  • Certified Professional in Talent Development (ATD) or similar certification
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, Trello, etc.
