Overview
Do you want to be primarily responsible for Contamination Control and Sanitation at the Park 500 Manufacturing Facility and Leaf Warehouses for Philip Morris USA to include planning, coordination, and performance management of this program? We are currently looking for a Contamination Control & Sanitation Specialist in our facility in Richmond, VA. You will manage the Contamination Control and Sanitation Program and be the liaison between Manufacturing and sanitation Service Providers to assure compliance to Master Cleaning Schedule and Standard Operating Procedures. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
• Manage the Contamination Control and Sanitation program at the Park 500 Manufacturing Facility and Leaf Warehouses.
• Plan and direct plant contamination control / sanitation and pest management procedures, programs, staffing levels and cleaning activities to meet requirements in alignment with our Altria Quality Requirements, Quality Management System (QMS), and Regulatory obligations.
• Coordinate cleaning, sanitation and pest management activities with Operations and Service Providers to ensure efficient scheduling of activities within our facility.
• Assess cleaning performances and opportunities against cleaning requirements, while developing continuous improvement strategies to improve the overall sanitation program.
• Manage the Pest Control Program to include Fumigation at the Leaf Warehouses.
• Manage the Indirect Material Evaluation Process and Odor/NPRM Producing Projects. Required Education/Qualifications Include:
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Entomology, Business Management or other applied science or 3 years of experience in warehouse or manufacturing in a regulated environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Technical writing ability
• Ability to effectively function as an individual contributor, member of a team and a team leader as necessary
• Highly developed interpersonal skills necessary to provide a high level of customer service and manage service provider relationships
• Highly developed analytical thinking to resolve problems, identify gaps, apply logic / deductive reasoning to execute root cause analysis and implement solutions
• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
Physical Requirements
• Ability to perform duties that would be reasonably expected in a manufacturing environment including (but not limited to) bending, standing, lifting, twisting, and kneeling.
• May be exposed to one of the following elements: extremes of temperature, fumes, odors, dust, and loud noise.
