HOW YOU CAN DEVELOP



This role supports Montrose's Stack Testing Services ("Stack") division; a division is nationally renowned in assisting clients with documenting their compliance status with emission limits on regulated air pollutants.


Reporting to the SVP of Human Resources, this position partners with business leaders and leads a small HR team. Location is open and travel to our locations is highly valued in order to meet operational teams for whom your programs and solutions are intended to develop. This position partners with the business and human resources teams, to develop and execute strategies aimed at attracting, developing and retaining diverse talent---- enabling Stack to meet its goals. More specifically the role:


  • Drives successful execution of HR and talent management processes including recruiting and retention, performance management, compensation, pay equity, employment policies and procedures, training and development, talent reviews, succession planning and compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations


  • Develops personal credibility and effective working relationships with Stack Leadership team to support the growth of the business. Assess the levers needed to be pulled to make this happen and create a compelling and engaging vision and strategy in coordination with Montrose's HR strategy


  • Interprets and translates the data into meaningful actions that the business can take to improve employee performance


  • Empowers a high performing, world class HR function and competence that delivers effective partnership with the business


  • Synergizes business decisions and HR processes resulting in objective and equitable treatment of employees


  • Optimizes staffing strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify, attract and retain talent within and outside the organization


  • Quarterbacks due diligence of prospective new acquisitions and interface extensively with management at the newly acquired organizations to assist in human relations issues, and policies and procedures


  • Demonstrates consultative and stakeholder management skills that result in people seeking them out, knowing they will provide measured advice with a value-added perspective




  • Collaborates with Montrose's Corporate HR team to improve the programs, policies, practices and processes associated with meeting the strategic and operational employee matters of the organization.



THESE ARE IMPORTANT FOR THE ROLE----SO DO YOU HAVE THEM



  • 7+ years of progressive human resources experience


  • Strong communication skills including listening, written communication, executive presentations, and speaking skills; comfortable presenting to and facilitating work with all key stakeholders


  • Proven ability to effectively partner, coach and consult with business leaders and employees


  • Presence, Confidence and Maturity


  • Accomplished with hourly workforce, high turnover, and effectively dealing with same


  • Ability to navigate a dynamic, fast-paced environment


  • Excellent project management, prioritization, and creative problem-solving skills


  • Expert conflict resolution skills and the confidence to address complex HR issues


  • Broad based, hands-on HR experience in the areas of recruiting, performance management, compensation, employment policies and practices, leadership development and succession planning


  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Communications, or similarly people-focused fields
