What you will do

• Work within a development team to assist in leading significant scope and drive complex projects to completion.
  
• Produce maintainable, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.
  
• Demonstrate subject matter expertise and ownership for your team's services.
  
• Collaborate with the product team, architects, and others to document features and changes.
  
• Participate in peer design and code reviews.
  
• Elevate the performance of colleagues through training, mentoring, and promoting Best Practices.
  
• Experiment with technologies and propose solutions to colleagues including architects and the IT leadership team.
  
• Incorporate monitoring, logging, and tracing with DataDog and Snowflake.
  
• Mentor other engineers, having a voice in defining our challenging technical culture, and helping to build a fast-growing team (depending on level).
  

What experience you need

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  
• Proven experience working within a development team to lead significant scope and drive complex projects to completion.
  
• 5+ years of strong software engineering and software architecture background in languages such as Go (preferred), Rust, C/C++/C#, or Java.
  
• 5+ years of experience building RESTful APIs and/or gRPC within a distributed microservice architecture.
  
• 3+ years experience implementing Amazon Web Services like Kinesis, IAM, ElastiCache for Redis, Lambda, EKS, Neptune, DynamoDB, or Elasticsearch.
  
• Excellent communication skills and desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
  

What could set you apart

• UI development (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, AngularJS, Angular 4/5 and Bootstrap).
  
• Experience with relational, graph, and NoSQL databases.
  
• AWS Certification(s).
  
• Experience with OWASP and PCI Data Security.
  
• Experience with DEVOPS patterns and tooling (GitLab, Datadog)
