Job Summary:

Akima, LLC has a new exciting opportunity for a proven, high performing administrative professional to fill a key Executive Assistant role in our Herndon, VA office. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for supporting one of our fastest growing and high visibility business groups.  The EA will work closely with the Technology Solutions & Products Group’s leadership to keep the train on the track.  In addition to acting as the first point of contact with internal and external stakeholders, this person will be instrumental in planning events for the business group, scheduling meetings and travel. 

Job Requirements:



  • Provide direct executive administrative support for the President of the Technology Solutions & Products Group (TSPG), Operating Company Presidents and General Managers as well as occasional support for Akima’s Chief Administrative Officer




  • Identify opportunities for process and policy improvements




  • Assist with office layout planning and office moves, and with managing IT coordination




  • Generate charts, tables, memoranda, reports, correspondence and other materials with speed and accuracy




  • Support not only the TSPG Leadership, but also the BD/Sales team




  • Provide guidance on company policies and procedures




  • Schedule and prioritize meetings for executives




  • Maintain accurate and detailed knowledge of the group organization, leadership team members and locations



Minimum Qualifications: 



  • 8+ years of professional administrative experience supporting a senior leader in a large organization




  • Demonstrated experience interacting with senior levels of leadership effectively




  • Possess professional presence, enthusiasm and phone skills




  • Demonstrated proficiency with productivity tools including Microsoft office suite tools (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel), and Sharepoint




  • Experience with calendar management, meeting scheduling and coordination, planning events, expense reports, and data reports.




  • Demonstrated experience handling multiple tasks concurrently and making quick decisions in a fast-paced environment




  • Demonstrated experience with handling confidential information




  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communications skills




  • Professionalism, Discretion and Sensitivity




  • U.S. Citizenship




  • High School Diploma

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
