Civil Inspectors - T-Line and Substation

PSI, an Intertek company, is searching for a Civil Inspectors to join our Building & Constructionteam in our Rockies/ Mountains West Region. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry!

• Performs civil inspections; NO materials testing
• Works utilizing drawings, specifications, and diagrams
• Uses specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks
• Reads and Interprets Plans and Specifications
• Perform complex assignments
• Attend project meetings
• Make detailed observations and gives the interpretation of results
• Maintains detailed documentation and data from test results
• Operates a calculator to calculate mathematical test results
• Communicates effectively with client and project teams
• Must be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
• 2 years' experience in Substation, T-lines or Civil Inspection is required
• 5 years' experience is preferred
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record is required
• Must have ACI Concrete Field Testing Grade 1 AND FHWA Drilled Shaft Inspector certifications OR ability to pass within 1 month (assistance with obtaining certification is provided)
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skills are required
• External (or task related) certifications based on region and state preferred
• Ability to lead and supervise others
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
• Project is at remote location; significant travel is required

• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time and traverse difficult terrain
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
• Ability to work over night hours and off shift
