Job Description:

Perform oversight of the assigned projects by monitoring the cost, schedule completion, and risk profiles, to provide status updates and recommendations to the Capital Program Committee (CPC) of the MTA Board.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the day-to-day operational aspects of a project.
• Review project documents prior to contract awards.
• Participate in constructability reviews, risk workshops and other meetings as needed, as well as document items discussed.
• Perform periodic field visits to monitor the progress on site against the project's schedule.
• Prepare cost-schedule analysis and forecasts for Monthly Status Reports.
• Develop performance reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Maintain Project Management databases including updates, issuing reports, and tracking.
• Communicate relevant project information to internal leadership and the client.
• Maintain good working relationship with the Project Team and other stakeholders.
• Prepare a summary presentation for use in the Capital Plan Committee Work Plan.
• Collaborate and provide support as required.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 15+ years of related experience supporting Rail & Transit Programs.
• Prior experience overseeing MTA projects is required.
• Possess strong verbal, written, presentation and excellent client management skills.
• Excellent time management skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize competing project obligations.
• MS Office Suite

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $125,000. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.

Provides administrative/technical support to MTA Office of Construction Oversight (OCO), the IEC Principal, his team and MTA HQ; coordinates the involvement of other groups or organizations that provide support services to the IEC team. Produces the monthly CPOC Book via Directors Desk program for the MTA Chairman, CPOC Committee members, MTA staff and general public. The position is responsible for all functions necessary to ensure an organized and efficiently run field office.
