Kroll Property Tax practice assists clients in identifying tax saving opportunities by reviewing their tangible property portfolio and associated property tax assessments and liabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Compliance Analyst in Property Tax, duties will include the following:


  • Work with team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and deadlines are met
  • Audit tax bills vouchered for accuracy
  • Update collector information as necessary
  • Create and image checks for client tax payments
  • Notify clients of amounts due
  • Produce and upload positive pay files on bank website
  • Mailing of client tax payments
  • Obtain copies of cancelled checks as requested
  • Place follow-up calls to collectors as needed
  • Collect all proof a mail articles for the previous day and ensure daily reconciliation is correct
  • Obtain certified mailing delivery confirmations
  • File all check writing documents
  • File and pay Sales and Use Returns
  • Remit unclaimed property amounts to owners and state collectors
  • Reconcile petty cash monthly
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly
  • Generate, print and mail invoices as required
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the Vice President/Team Lead in the Richardson, TX Office

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Currently enrolled in (or recent graduate with, or previously received if working on Masters or PhD) an undergraduate or graduate from an accredited college or university
  • Must be available to start between January 2023 and September 2023
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with co-workers and clients
  • Working knowledge of personal computer and multiple software applications used in job functions including Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word
  • Ability to collaborate with leads and other team members
  • Demonstrate the ability to obtain technical expertise in the managed field
  • Ability to problem solve and make educated decisions
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or related field OR a minimum of 4 years related work experience
