Job Description:

Heluna Health is a national nonprofit leader in providing program and support services to optimize population health. In any given year, our organization either directly implements or provides the administrative support for approximately 400 public health and social service initiatives across a broad spectrum of population health domains.

Salary range: $68,983 to $76,648 (salary will be commensurate with experience)

POSITION SUMMARY

Heluna Health invites applicants to apply for the position of HR Generalist, under the direction of the HR Supervisor.  This individual will provide high-level HR support and guidance. This person must possess the ability to interact with staff, clients excellent internal and external customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Recruits, interviews and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with program managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

  • Conducts or acquires background checks

  • Responsible for making job offers, working with HR Coordinators to schedule orientation.

  • Coordinates with Payroll, Leave, and Benefits specialist as needed to ensure the proper HR processing occurs for employees and according to the program budget.

  • Responsible for overseeing and completing information changes, termination paperwork and ensure it is processed in HRIS system.

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute disciplinary matters, investigations, performance evaluations, training and development

  • Trains employees and supervisors on HR Policies and Procedures.

  • Addresses employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and workplace investigations, and provides guidance and documentation related to disciplinary actions and terminations.

  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems

  • Responsible - Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one’s conduct. 

  • Diversity Oriented - Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or job type.

  • Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.

Education/Experience


  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

  • 2-5 years of HR Generalist experience

Certificates/Licenses/Clearances


  • HR Certification by an accredited organization preferred
