Summary:

We're hunting for a Manager of Philanthropy Acquisition, someone who's ready to be part of the best ranked children's hospital in Texas, and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will be responsible for acquiring and stewarding new donors for Texas Children's Hospital through direct mail and e-philanthropy. Primary responsibilities will include researching new donors, developing a strategic plan to procure donors, and then assisting in executing the plan.

Job Duties & Responsibilities


  • Recommends, manages, and executes integrated acquisition campaigns to meet fundraising goals.
  • Segments donors and creates appropriate communication plans to move donors through the pipeline.
  • Creates a testing protocol to optimize results.
  • Reviews and analyzes programs to track success of each campaign and suggests innovations for future appeals.
  • Defines and incorporates innovative strategies and best practices to be used in mail, electronic appeals, and in maintaining data integrity.
  • Partners with other members of the Office of Philanthropy team and other divisional partners to determine solicitation strategy, copy edit when needed, and provide design feedback when requested.
  • Manages vendors on specific projects.
  • Manages program budget, goals, and objectives in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manages market research and analysis used to make informed decisions. regarding strategic marketing direction, product segmentation, and customer targeting.

Skills & Requirements

  • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children's unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
  • Required bachelor's degree
  • Required 5 years' Experience working with a complex relationship database management system with preferred experience working with Blackbaud products
