Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Continuous optimization of large complex plant or multiple plant performance by implementing lean manufacturing concepts, techniques and processes.


• Effectively implements new performance management systems, production plans, and performance criteria; confirms production progress; responds to delays; takes corrective actions; records KPI performance.


• Creates and implements improvement plans for the overall operation.


• Ensures the team understands roles and responsibilities related to the team and Greif.


• Encourages joint problem-solving and individual development.


• Supports Greif's mission, follows the values of Greif, and works to better Greif’s business as a whole.


• Manages and maintains safety observances, ensuring guards and safety features are working and promoting good daily safety practices and habits.


• Communicates goals and objectives, applies company policy, staffs, trains, coaches, recommends salary increases, administers discipline, ensures positive colleague relations, and reviews colleagues' performance.


• Forecasts future production and facility needs and participates in establishing strategic business and project goals.


• Contributes in annual budget preparation. Controls expenditures in accordance with the budget.


• Maintain close connection and contact with other departments.


• May be responsible for more than one plant.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 10 or more years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of the plant's operation.


• Demonstrated leadership skills.


• Strong ability in problem-solving and multi-tasking.


• Computer skills.


• Solid interpersonal skills.


• Organization skills.
