This role will report to AVP – Digital Transformation Finance and will be responsible for planning, tracking, and analysis of headcount across the Global Operations and IT organization. With new system implementations and developing reporting structures, this role will be continuously developing as Headcount Finance needs are defined. The role will interact with key contacts across various business segments as well as senior leaders across the Ops/IT organization. In addition, this role will support the AVP – Finance with various financial processes across the Digital Transformation reporting as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Headcount Database Management
Oversee management of global personnel database for Global Operations and IT organization (13k positions)
Consolidate bi-weekly information from various sources into database, including personnel data from HR system, contractor data from external vendors, and discussions with management
Collaborate with direct and functional IT and Ops groups, as well as global segment leadership teams and HR
Track roles at position level and monitor personnel hires, transfers, and terminations
Troubleshoot issues such as incorrect data entry or classifications from various sources
Design new functionality within data model as needs arise
Provide ad-hoc database analysis
Headcount Reporting and Analysis
Articulate various metrics across the Ops/IT organization, such as approved positions, open positions, posted positions, and job eliminations
Understand and quantify key variances vs. plan in both headcount, salary dollars, and external contractor spend
Build headcount information for annual planning, strategic planning, and forecasting
Track various savings initiatives and provide reporting quantifying impact of those initiatives
Ad hoc reporting for key stakeholders
Headcount Team Development and Process Improvements
Build out database and process for headcount tracking, including timelines around specific deliverables, and execute on project plan
Look for continuous ways to improve and automate process
Monitor and execute controls and security protocols around highly sensitive data
Other projects as needed across IPA and Central Operations finance team
Support AVP, Digital Transformation Finance on Headcount Tracking and Analysis for Digital Business Transformation where needed
Support financial reporting on Global Digital Transformation Office
Technical Skills and Requirements:
6-8 years experience in a finance or business intelligence role
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, MIS, Accounting, or Economics, or similar field preferred
Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail
Understanding of business intelligence tools used for data analysis and reporting
Ability to work effectively across organizational areas and levels
Superior problem solving, analytical and modeling skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to summarize complex issues, particularly to non-financial partners
Strong time management and organization skills; demonstrated agility in managing multiple priorities
Demonstrated success in an agile, rapidly changing environment
Demonstrated ability to work independently
Self-starter and proactive with an aptitude for process improvement
Ability to keep and respect the utmost of confidentiality and discretion
