Be physically capable of climbing a ladder, lifting up to 75 lbs. and performing all tasks associated with industrial maintenance.
Have knowledge of general mechanical, electrical and pneumatic principles as they pertain to industrial equipment.
Posses’ knowledge of the ISO System, and Preventive Maintenance Program
Basic welding and fabrication skills.
Basic plumbing and pipe fitting skills.
Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical failures.
Ability to accurately read tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
Basic blueprint reading skills.
Ability to solve basic mathematical calculations, (add, subtract, divide and multiply whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.)
Required to perform routine maintenance on plant equipment as scheduled.
Required to perform machine repairs to include mechanical and electrical component repair or replacement.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
Must have 3 years’ experience in maintenance to include motor drives, temperature, and pressure control system, and understanding of PLC principles
Strong knowledge of extrusion operations and support equipment to include blending and drying systems preferred.
Must have good understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical principles
Daily expectations include the ability to work independently to identify causes of equipment failure and repair as needed
Must be able to follow direction to complete assigned tasks in a safe and productive manner
Must be able to work in a team environment or independently as situations dictate
Ability to accurately record and describe work performed in logbook.
Ability to interact courteously with members in a team environment.
Adhere to company policy concerning safety equipment.
Maintain a neat and orderly work environment.
Ability to read and follow basic work instructions, policies, procedures, or other directional material.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
Must be able to climb 30 ft ladder.
Facility operates 24-7. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Proper PPE required such as; ear plugs, safety glasses and safety shoes.
