Job Responsibilities:

• 
  

  GSE Mechanics are skilled in the maintenance, repair, and servicing of Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Ground Support Equipment (GSE), and training aids.

  
  


• 
  

  Responsible for using the appropriate technical orders, tooling, equipment, and materials to accomplish assigned maintenance functions including, but not limited to the following: inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, removing, and replacing components on all AGE/GSE.

  
  


• 
  

  Assists aircraft mechanics in certain maintenance actions and servicing of the assigned training aircraft. 

  
  


• 
  

  Conducts age preventative maintenance program by performing periodic and special inspections on all assigned powered and non-powered AGE and GSE

  
  


• 
  

  Troubleshoots, diagnose, repairs, removes and replaces components on all assigned equipment.

  
  


• 
  

  Washes, cleans, and maintains interior and exterior of all assigned equipment in accordance with applicable technical orders.

  
  


• 
  

  Records all inspections/maintenance actions using appropriate USAF automated forms or other means as required. 

  
  


• 
  

  Complies with environmental, safety, and security requirements

  
  


• 
  

  Performs other duties as required.

  
  

Minimum Qualifications: 

• 
  

  Requires (8) years’ experience in AGE/SE maintenance field.

  
  


• 
  

  Must demonstrate the ability to accurately troubleshoot and repair complex AGE systems and subsystems.

  
  


• 
  

  Requires a thorough understanding of maintenance scheduling techniques.

  
  


• 
  

  Must demonstrate the ability to read, understand, and interpret detailed technical orders, work cards, checklists, wiring diagrams and schematics.

  
  


• 
  

  Obtain necessary licenses and certifications required to perform assigned duties.

  
  


• 
  

  Must demonstrate the ability to deal courteously, professionally, and effectively with the customer.

  
  


• 
  

  Must be a U.S. Citizen.
