Our integrated domain expertise and customer connection through service of the entire building from field device to control system to software means we and our partners are best positioned to help our customers adopt and deploy OpenBlue in their digital transformation journey towards sustainability and automation.

We’re looking for a partner program leader to develop and drive our global partner ecosystem development and growth for OpenBlue.

This is a U.S. based remote position.

How you will do it

Build a world class partner program enabling OpenBlue SW solutions to be more available and effective at helping our customers enjoy the results through the JCI suite of offerings.

Focusing on:


  • Our customers and where they are on their digital journey, geography or industry

  • Building a purpose led, success-driven approach

  • Simplifying engagement with JCI for our customers through our partners


  • Engage and build the OpenBlue partner ecosystem driving GTM initiatives to recruit, onboard and grow partners and accelerate business opportunities across market segments within the Cloud/Solution Provider/SI and channel ecosystems.

  • Develop partner specific growth plans, identify actions and help needed to drive co-sale, resale, and/or delivery services for OpenBlue.

  • Drive global partner insights into the Digital Monthly Business Review to evaluate performance and identify actions needed to inform partner investment and growth.

  • Work closely with internal cross-functional stakeholders to leverage existing sales enablement, Integrated Service Delivery, and sales collateral to upskill partners effectiveness in representing JCI solutions in market to deliver customer success

  • Develop a partner team to design, manage and operate the OBPP both from the center and within each region of Johnson Controls.

What we look for


  • 15 years of experience within the SaaS industry in partnership/alliance/channel sales, marketing, or business development roles, preferably gained working with enterprise and Cloud technologies.

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Demonstrated past program success (as demonstrated through partner engagement, market share growth, or quota attainment in a partner/channel sales role tracking all types of measurements including sell-through, sell to, and sell with (partner influence)

  • Significant experience of program development and market growth achievement with hyperscalers (AWS, Google, and Microsoft) and their partner ecosystems.

  • Significant experience generating new enterprise business through alliances and channels partners.

  • Must be customer obsessed, self-motivated, and responsive in a quarterly driven sales environment.

  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills and an ability to blend technology and a solution vision and business strategy to identify new partner opportunities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences when presenting the business value aspects of the proposition.

  • You have a bias for action and the hustle to get stuff done.

  • Ability to attract, develop, and retain high performing and balanced teams.

  • Ability to leverage, manage & lead virtual teams

  • MBA degree preferred.
