Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for leading the team members responsible for performing the processing of the gaming revenue transactions for Caesars Entertainment in accordance with departmental and functional procedures, internal controls, and applicable state and Federal regulations. Assist the department senior leadership in developing KPIs to aid in obtaining peak performance. Responsibilities also include completing journal entry and account reconciliation reviews, gaming audit deliverables, data analysis, variance research, and review of applicable tax returns.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS :


  • Oversee a combination of professional and non-professional accounting staff
  • Reviews account reconciliations and journal entries ensuring compliance with existing controls, policies and procedures and GAAP
  • Coordinate and review the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual processes for accuracy
  • Oversee and review of work and monthly account reconciliations performed by team members

  • Get, guide and root for assigned team and accurately assess performance, provide support, training, mentoring, and development to staff on an ongoing basis to ensure the department performs at a maximum performance level
  • Assist manager in developing and leading regular training sessions to enhance department performance
  • Assist manager in creating and implementing strategic vision
  • Assists staff in problem resolution and escalation
  • Assist in promoting change management as the need arises
  • Provides manager with metrics of assigned team noting key achievements and areas needing improvement. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Proactively provides feedback to leadership on people, process, technology and compliance
  • Coordinate the production of documents in response to requests from regulators, internal auditors, independent auditors, properties, and others, as necessary
  • Lead projects from end to end
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested
  • Ensure accurate reporting and demonstrate job ownership for all items completed
  • Effectively handle routine tasks, while responding appropriately to additional requests and special projects as they are assigned
  • Identify changes in the business environment and make subsequent changes to control frameworks, business narratives, flowcharts.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry accounting experience required
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements is required
  • Knowledge of Gaming systems is required
  • Understanding of SOX 404 and GAAP is required
  • Working knowledge of CMS, SDS, Oracle and other various gaming systems requires .

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Organized and detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet assigned deadlines as required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be a team player in a professional environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays

  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
