Responsibilities:

Perform field data collection and office data processing, as well as the management of data.
Perform quality control and quality assurance.
Use of UAS Aerial Drones, Robotic Total Stations, Terrestrial LiDAR scanners, digital levels, photography and other data collection tools and software.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, topographic maps and real property descriptions.
Projects may include the use of hand tools, including a bush axe, machete, or sledgehammer.
Maintain supplies and equipment.
Project management and follow through of tasks.
Scheduling and coordination across GPI departments.
Proposal preparation and proposal development.

Qualifications:

Licensed West Virginia Surveyor or ability to obtain license within 9 months is preferable.
Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in a related field will be considered in lieu of experience.
3-5 years of survey related experience
Project management and scheduling experience.
Proposal preparation experience.
Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
Knowledge of Geometry and Trigonometry.
Experience in field surveying practices and procedures.
Experience in drafting and reproduction methods.
Experience in land recording and conveyance procedures.
Background checks and drug testing will be required for projects on Federal facilities.
Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting contracts and specifications
Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with office and field personnel
Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure, professionalism in all situations
Experience using Trimble GNSS and robotic total stations
Experience/willingness to embrace the latest geospatial technologies
Willingness to travel to various project locations for extended periods of time
