Summary:

We are searching for a Financial Disbursement Specialist ll to assist in the ongoing implementation of business processes, regulatory requirement enforcement, upgrades, system modifications, special projects, testing and primary functional liaison in implementation and maintenance of applicable Financial Disbursements subsystems. Consults with customers to identify current operation procedures and to clarify program objectives. Additional responsibilities include workflow administration, data management and performing minor modifications to the application.

Qualifications


  • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children's, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years experience in Payroll, Timekeeping, Accounts Payable or Financial Disbursements Experience
  • Preferred Payroll, Timekeeping, Accounts Payable or Financial Disbursements Experience in a Healthcare Environment
  • Preferred Bachelors Degree
  • Preferred Associates Degree

Job Responsibilities


  • Collaborates with internal core stakeholders, leadership, and peers to identify system issues
  • and process needs.
  • Supports business/clinical operations and serves as liaison to configuration teams for continued
  • system maintenance and optimization
  • Analyzes and updates data for Leadership dashboards and reporting
  • Responsible for webpage maintenance
  • Coordinates training of systems
  • identifies system or application needs.
  • Conducts analysis of current business practices, user needs and work flow processes.
  • Documents the current as is & to be business processes.
  • Performs analysis and makes recommendations.
  • Investigates alternative solutions including feasibility studies using results from reports, metrics, and evaluations.
  • Uses data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for the business improvements.
  • Cross trains staff and/or end-users as needed.
  • Drafts job aids and communications for staff, vendors, and/or stakeholders, follows test and pilot plans, and provides post go-live support as needed.
  • Engages users in analysis and evaluation of functional models and prototypes; identify dependencies.
