Qualifications

-Executive Leadership & Presence: Bright, articulate individual able to move fluidly between managing day-to-day operations and the Board Room/Executive Suite; has the presence and credibility to instill confidence and trust both internally and externally; able to communicate concisely and effectively to get a point across quickly and articulate understanding of business issues; must be comfortable with financial and technical/clinical analysis, and have exceptional judgment, integrity, leadership and collaboration skills

  • -MBA/ MHA Required

  • -5+ years health care service operations role with a strong emphasis in strategic planning and financial performance management

  • -Prior experience with single-specialty or multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Centers

Responsibilities

-However, unlike traditional day-to-day operations roles, this individual will not only lead existing operations, he/she will build and drive the growth strategy for the market, targeting innovative new partnerships with health systems, health plans and other risk bearing entities, physician groups and other key stakeholders

-The VP Operations will innovate, benchmark, pilot and scale new services and initiatives that will transform the business and clinical delivery, elevating beyond “best-in-class” to set the bar on “world-class” service and delivery


-This executive will provide superb operations competencies, management leadership, business development and team playing skills in support, development and maturation of  mission and values for the market and, as a member of the senior team, for the entire enterprise
-Direct P&L responsibility of surgery centers within territory
-Responsibility will increase as new facilities are acquired in the future
-Lead team of Facility Administrators and Managers/Directors of Operations in ongoing, efficient management of ASCs
-Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management to direct reports (Facility Administrators/CEOs)
-Serve as regional executive for ASC partnerships and develop strong rapport with physicians
-Champion Clinical Quality initiatives and endeavor toward sustained excellence in conjunction with clinical leadership
-Thrive in a highly matrixed environment; engage collaboratively and productively with Support Services and regional Operations colleagues
-Own and lead organic growth efforts – including physician recruitment and new service line development (both in conjunction with supporting  lanes)
-Support Financial Operations and Facility Administrators in development of annual budgets
-Actively participate in formal governance of partnerships (eg – Governing Body, Medical Executive Committees, Partnership Meetings)
-Be physically present in portfolio surgery centers frequently
-Contribute to making  the Partner of Choice for physicians and Employer of Choice for Teammates
-Operate within compliance of federal and state rules and regulations
-Exhibit professionalism and embody Values
-Performs all other duties as assigned by the Group Vice President or Group President
