JOB Summary
The Business Analyst is responsible for documenting detailed business requirements and project scope, analyzing business processes and making recommendations.
Includes user stories, business workflow analysis. Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, decomposes high-level information into details. Distinguishes client requests from the underlying business needs. Responsible for developing epics and stories with the product owner to support the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems. Formulates and defines system's scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of the application, business, operational and/or industry requirements. Works with internal business groups on process improvement projects and is involved in testing, training and implementing applications and/or systems.
Serve as a liaison between business functions and program managers. Identify and implement business process improvements. Support the development, and implementation of technology solutions.
Responsibilities
Extract and document functional and technical requirements from various stakeholders
Document use cases as well as coordinate and participate in testing efforts
Support definition and documentation of implementation and project plans
Coordinate issue resolution and manage expectations across stakeholders
Assist with data mapping across platforms as part of a conversion effort
Lead User Acceptance Testing strategy, planning, and execution through obtaining business signoff and deployment of code to production
Assist business with User Acceptance Testing activities as needed
Contribute to business cases for new systems, features, or operational processes as required
Contribute to product roadmaps for assigned systems, including upgrades, enhancements and integrations
Perform root cause analysis of production issues and work with business to resolve or escalate
Assist in gathering data as needed

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
3+ years’ experience in a business analyst role documenting requirement using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Knowledge of JIRA preferred but not required.
