Job Summary

This position maintains the Protective Coatings Program and direct activities in program execution. The Program Owner inspects and evaluates coatings, providing technical recommendations in accordance with program requirements.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

•Performs assigned task with minimum guidance from supervision

•Provides technical direction and administration of activities conducted under the Protective Coatings Program.

•Evaluates identified coating and lining deficiencies and provides recommendations

•Coordinates assigned projects, studies and initiatives through completion

•Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

•Prepare and present routine reports

•Participate in special project and committee assignments as requested

•Lead routine problem - solving efforts

•Provide contract coordination and vendor oversight

•Serves as the Qualifying Agent for coating applicators

•Serves as site representative to industry groups

•Participation in Emergency Response role required

​•Extended hours may be required to support plant issues or outage assignments

•Job may require ownership of or qualification to additional engineering programs

Required Minimum Education and Experience

•High School Diploma and 10 yrs related job experience•Or 2 yr Associate degree in related science and 8 yrs related experience•Or 4 yrs Bachelors degree in related science and 6  yrs related job experience

•Qualification to inspect Coating Service Level I & II per ASTM D 4538 preferred

•Additional qualification for Coating Service Level III preferred

•Experience with Engineering Program management or implementation preferred

•Job may require climbing or working at heights
