Job Description:

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sr. Technical QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring quality of release for application/projects at Alameda Alliance for Health (the "Alliance"). This position is responsible to prepare test plans, execute test cases, identify core issues, train QA Analysts/QA Engineers, facilitate defect triage meetings and come up with testing effort estimates. This position requires both an understanding of business operational data, reporting needs and informational systems including data warehouse. This role works with and acts as an advisor to the Data Integration team and Applications team by providing quality assurance testing for a new feature implementation or change requests. The candidate will be liaising with Manager to identify project scope, track, report project status, interact with business users, managing day-to-day operations on multiple projects. This role requires someone with strong technical skills and works towards implementing and enhancing the test automation for UI application and data warehouse testing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

Determines requirements, design, build, test, implements, maintains, and enhances business systems. Analyzes, detects, identifies, and corrects technical problems and deficiencies.
Create/edit new/existing configurations to accommodate requests from various business teams. Conduct impact analysis of configuration changes, validation of configurations, coordinate and manage push to production.
Work with operations, projects, engineering, and support teams and help shape business objectives and prioritization using a well thought, methodical, data-driven approach.
Develop new and/or changes to existing major systems with multiple interfaces and/or across multiple platforms. Write and/or review program specifications, write and/or review scripts, prepare and/or review documentation.
Acts as a liaison between business and technical teams, and do gap analysis across different application, data, and data flow.
Provide support to ensure that customer service levels are met. Identify the cause and impact of production problems, interact with IT staff and customers, and escalate as necessary.
Evaluate existing systems for design efficiency and resource utilization to assure system performance and functions meet business needs.
Create data sets, extract, and synthesize data; conduct and interpret quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Creates Test Plans, Test Strategy, Test Cases, Requirements traceability metrics (RTM) for the systems under test.
Enhance the testing methodology and trains team members on Data warehouse testing.
Design and implement test automation for the web-based applications using Selenium framework.
Effectively manage project execution, supporting data automation, and data integration between applications.
Train the team as required on the Quality Assurance and testing activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION OR TRAINING EQUIVALENT TO:

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems or Health Care-related field desirable. Master's Degree is a plus.

MINIMUM YEARS OF ADDITIONAL RELATED EXPERIENCE:

5 + years of working knowledge EDI ANSI x12 healthcare transactions.
5+ years of experience working with healthcare business.
7+ years' experience in writing complex SQL queries.
7+ years of programming experience with Java or Python.
5+ years of test automation experience with Selenium framework.
5+ years of experience in supporting test data management & test automation for applications.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, ABILITIES, LICENSE):

Proficient command of Microsoft Office applications: PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio, Outlook, and Word
Strong knowledge of healthcare data domains.
Must be self-directed, organized and possess the ability to quickly adapt to changing processes and environments.
Building and maintaining excellent working relationships with key leaders and staff across the organization.
Ability to analyze business requirements, review existing systems, define the solution, and translate that into configuration and workflows.
Proficiency in using SQL to write and run queries is required.
Proficiency in either Java or Python programming languages.
Proficiency in Test Automation using Selenium framework.
Knowledge of state and county health plan membership processes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Proven history of clear, concise, and detailed documentation.
Ability and willingness to learn
Ability to effectively correspond/communicate with both business, technical staff and translate requests accordingly
Ability to identify sources of problems and arrive at appropriate solutions.
Understanding of complex systems, how they integrate and impact the entire organization
Ability to lead a team of Quality Analysts/Engineers in addition to supporting daily functions.

SALARY RANGE $105,853.04-$158,779.55 ANNUALLY
