THE POSITION: As the Quality Engineering Supervisor in our Watertown, SD facility you will be responsible for supervising the plant quality team and establishing day-to-day responsibilities and priorities based on the Customer, Plant, and Engineering needs. In addition, you will support, develop, and oversee quality personnel, customer design reviews, risk assessment activities, NPD & EC projects, CMM and calibration activities. You would also provide guidance on interpreting IATF 16949 standards and internal policies and serve as an internal auditor, as needed. As the primary customer contact for all quality related communications and responsible for employee relations, you must maintain complete confidentiality relating to sensitive business, financial, and personnel issues. We offer a competitive base salary of $70,353.68/yr to $99,487.69/yr, depending on experience, plus bonus! YOUR TEAM: You would be a member of the Quality department and would report directly to the Director of Quality who supports all three facilities but is based in our Monticello, MN facility. You’d also have an APQ Engineer in Watertown who also reports directly to the Director of Quality. The Quality Control Engineer and Quality Auditor would report directly to you.
YOUR IMPACT: As an intern with the TCDC quality department, you will provide support and feedback as the liaison between the production floor and quality team. You will also provide an outside perspective to processes and improvements.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: HS Diploma or Equivalent
BS in Engineering or related technical field and related experience
Experience developing new product and process qualification plans and manufacturing quality plans
Experience conducting process capability studies, design of experiments, statistical process control, or other techniques
Experience in leading teams to optimize processes to achieve ongoing cost reductions and reductions of risk
Proficient in GD&T and its application
Experience with APQP process and PPAP submissions
Experience working with Automotive and/or Medical products and standards
